Semiconductor Impact Award Accelerator
The semiconductor industry powers the modern world, from smartphones and computers to medical devices and electric vehicles. Beebolt, a leader in supply chain resilience and global trade solutions, has partnered with Akama Fund, a non-profit dedicated to expanding access to higher education scholarships, to launch the Beebolt Semiconductor Impact Accelerator.
This programme is designed to empower the next generation of innovators and engineers, providing opportunities for university students to gain access to funding, mentorship, and recognition in the growing semiconductor field.
Accelerator Benefits
- Monetary Awards
To help students advance their studies and projects in the semiconductor space, six awards will be granted:
£1,500 each for two students
£500 each for four students
These awards are intended to provide meaningful support for academic development, research, or career-related opportunities.
- Mentorship & Networking
All applicants will gain access to a network of industry professionals, mentors, and Beebolt engineers, providing valuable guidance and insights into careers in semiconductors and advanced technology.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Beebolt Semiconductor Impact Accelerator, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate (2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year) or postgraduate programme at a UK university.
- Be studying Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or another related STEM discipline connected to semiconductors.
- Have a household income below £50,000, evidenced by a means-tested assessment as part of their student loan application.
- Join the Akama Fund waitlist if you are not eligible for any of the awards.
Application Process
- Complete the short online application form by the 21st November, 2025.
- All eligible applicants will be contacted via email after the application window closes.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a brief interview during the week commencing 1st December, 2025.
- Selected students will be notified by email.
